While in Newcastle for the International Games for the Disabled, attended a Siouxsie and the Banshees charity concert at Newcastle Centre Hotel on August 10, 1981 — a gig arranged specifically for the disabled children who took part in the games (documented in SOUNDS magazine, August 1, 1981, page 4). This concert was a formative punk rock experience and the album "Join Hands" (1979) later inspired the title of the 2015 documentary film about Sesow's life and art
