Eleven paintings at Busboys and Poets, 14th & V — and President Obama

Eleven paintings at Busboys and Poets, 14th & V, Washington, DC (January 14 – end of April 2016). On March 30, 2016, President Obama had lunch there; in Busboys and Poets’ video he walks past Matt’s crowned-fish painting on the wall.

January 14 – end of April 2016. “starting Tomorrow (thursday) until the end of April 2016 I’ll have eleven paintings up and available at Busboys and Poets , 14th and V in Washington, DC” (Matt, Facebook, January 13, 2016).

March 30, 2016. President Obama had lunch at Busboys and Poets, 14th & V, with people whose sentences he had commuted, in the Langston Room. Busboys and Poets later posted a video of the visit; near the end he walks toward the back wall, waving, past Matt’s crowned-fish painting. Matt shared it on March 9, 2017: “President Obama and some of my paintings!! (Fish and dogs) towards the end of the vid. :)”
